Letterwinner Chapter

The mission of the Letterwinner Chapter is to help our varsity letterwinners stay connected to JMU Athletics and their sport programs in a way that is fun and impactful.

This Chapter educates, engages, and communicates with former student-athletes, coaches, and athletic support staff.

Complete the alumni student-athlete update form!
Let us know if your information has changed so you can stay up to date on all the great things JMU alumni-student athletes are doing! Be sure to provide a current email address to receive event notifications, sport-specific messages, newsletters and more;
Stay in the know of all things JMU Athletics at jmusports.com; and
Get involved with the Duke Club by becoming a member, making a gift or supporting a fundraising event.

Attend a JMU game or athletics event (check out the full athletics calendar and the Duke Club events calendar)
Connect with fellow alumni at sport-specific alumni reunions (you'll receive an invite!)
Save the date to start making your plans for Homecoming and alumni campus events!
Help with Athletics alumni events and gatherings in collaboration with the Duke Club;
Become a mentor for current JMU student-athletes by getting involved with the Dukes LEAD student-athlete leadership and development program; and
Support fundraising initiatives to advance the vision of JMU Athletics and benefit the student-athlete experience.

LETTERWINNER FAQs

Support of the Duke Club and the Proud and True Fund provides scholarship and budgetary funds for all 18 sports and more than 450 student-athletes at JMU.
Fundraising is vital for the health of every program and JMU Athletics and the Duke Club greatly appreciate your sport-specific support. We do not ask sport-specific donors to transfer their current giving to the Duke Club. Instead, we collaborate with each sport by sharing funds and, most importantly:
Inform our alumni student-athletes about getting engaged with JMU Athletics;
Encourage JMU alumni student-athletes to invest in the JMU student-athlete experience through membership with the Duke Club; and
Remind JMU alumni student-athletes that countless Dukes before them impacted their student-athlete experience, and NOW they can impact the student-athlete experience of current and future Dukes.
The Letterwinner Chapter allows for the recognition and distinction of those who were a part of our storied athletic history and the opportunity to be an important part of our future.
The Chapter will help organize team reunions and special events to keep former teammates in touch.
The Letterwinner Chapter is a collaborative effort with each team and coach.
Current student-athletes and coaches appreciate the foundation set by the Dukes student-athletes and teams who came before them.
