Priority Points Graphic

From the time of making their first gift to the Duke Club, a donor will begin to accumulate Priority Points through their support of JMU Athletics. Priority Points are used when assigning tickets and parking, including away games and postseason events. A current year Proud and True Fund gift at a minimum $75 is required to activate Priority Points. There are a number of ways to earn Priority Points to access premier gameday parking, earn the opportunity to buy away game tickets and gain access to other game day amenities. Jump to the different sections below including: explanation of priority points, example calculation, and priority point policy.

Annual Gift Points
0.08 points X current annual athletics gift. A gift is defined as monies applied to your account for the current Duke Club year.
Failure to pay 50% of your current year pledge by the priority deadline (May 15) may result in an immediate loss of priority parking and seating.

Lifetime Giving Points
0.02 points X total lifetime athletics gifts, excluding the current year.

Consecutive Years as a Member
5 points for each consecutive year donating to the Duke Club. All new donors will receive 5 points for the first year of donation. Your consecutive year calculation will reset in the event of a lapse in giving.

Cumulative Season Tickets
1 point for each season ticket. Donors who hold season tickets for any of the following sports will receive one point for each season ticket: Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, and Football. Football Club Seats will be awarded 5 points per season ticket and Bridgeforth Stadium Suite holders will be awarded 10 points per season ticket. These points will be added at the conclusion of each season.

Young Alumni Program
Members of the Young Alumni Program will receive 3 bonus points per year of membership in the program (limit 4 years).

Student Duke Club Program
Current student members of the Student Duke Club will receive 3 bonus points per year of membership in the program.

Miscellaneous Points
Since the Duke Club began utilizing Priority Points in 2001, a variety of opportunities to earn bonus points have been used to reward donors for their support of JMU Athletics. Previous initiatives including referrals, Duke Club rep programs, returned tickets and other options have earned donors points in the past. These opportunities are no longer available but are maintained and reflected in the miscellaneous points category.

Tiebreakers
In the event a tiebreaker is needed to determine ranking, the first tiebreaker will be the current year's pledge. The second tiebreaker will be lifetime giving.

PRIORITY POINTS POLICY

The Duke Club is the fundraising vehicle for James Madison University Athletics. Through its annual fund drives, the Duke Club raises contributions in support of student-athlete scholarships and the general operating budget. Further, the Duke Club raises contributions in support of facility enhancements, endowments of student-athlete scholarships and other needs through capital campaigns and other gift solicitation efforts. The Duke Club is the only athletic fundraising organization recognized by the University. The majority of donations to the Duke Club are directed to the general athletics fund and encouraged for the Duke Club's mission of raising funds in support of student-athlete scholarships and the general operating budget; however, some donors prefer to restrict their gifts to specific sports, endowments, or capital expenses.

Membership benefits are determined by a donors' Proud and True Fund giving level. Donations to a capital campaign and/or other restricted athletics giving (i.e., a specific sport, brick, locker, endowment fund, Bridgeforth Stadium Expansion, Atlantic Union Bank Center) do not secure Proud and True membership benefits, however, points are calculated on those donations. Example: A total annual donation of $2,000 with $1,000 being a restricted athletics gift and $1,000 to the Proud and True Fund will secure a Duke Club membership with benefits at the Gold Level. Priority Points, however will be calculated on the entire $2,000 donation.

To utilize their priority points, a donor must make their ticket order through the JMU Athletic Ticket office before any associated priority deadlines. Following the preset priority deadlines, tickets and parking (or other access) will be assigned in order of Duke Club Priority Point rank. For football season tickets and parking, an online seat and parking selection tool will be available to self-select seats and parking at their assigned selection time.

Priority points are valid for active Proud and True Fund donors only. Individuals who are not current members forfeit all benefits associated with priority, including parking and seat locations.
