Sean is coming from the Pacific Northwest as he grew up in Kirkland, WA. In August of 2017 he arrived at Central Washington University to begin his collegiate career as a defensive lineman while declaring his major in mechanical engineering technology with a minor in mathematics with the intention of a career in orthopedic brace design for athletes. Over the next 5 years while completing his undergraduate degree Sean collected several awards including:
- 2021 First-Team All-Conference Defensive Tackle
- 2022 Student-Athlete of the Year (Football)
- 3-time Academic All-Conference honors
- 2x Team Captain (Leadership council member)
- 4-time GNAC Conference Champion
Following the completion of his undergraduate program, he made the decision to change careers to better support student athletes. In fall of 2022, he began his masters in sport and athletic administration while completing his senior season and working as the graduate assistant for athletic development for Central Washington University. During his final year, he also took on roles as the Student Senator of Athletics and a member of the Central Washington Athletic Compliance Committee, culminating in his master’s degree in June 2024.
In his free time Sean enjoys anything involving physical activity like golf, hiking, sports, or his puppy Oakley. He drove 45 hours cross country the week prior to his first day of work on July 29th and is grateful to be a JMU Duke!
