Your donation to the Proud & True Fund, (PATF) the JMU Athletics annual fund, supports JMU student-athlete scholarships — celebrating our student-athlete academic and athletic achievements — while also providing unrestricted vital financial assistance for scholarships, team operations, and the Athletics general operating budget. Annual gifts to the PATF immediately go to impact all 18 JMU varsity sport programs and more than 500 student-athletes allowing JMU Dukes Athletics to continue to field a premier NCAA Division I intercollegiate program.

Special Notes for Donors to the Proud and True Fund:

Donors receive 100% tax deductibility for gifts to the Proud and True Fund.
Gifts to the Proud and True Fund will receive Duke Club priority points similar to previous years. (Multiplier x 0.08)
Football parking access begins at the corresponding Proud and True giving level. Reparking will take place in early June for donors to select season parking base on Duke Club Priority Points. Your gift does NOT guarantee a specific spot in a lot.
Exemptions to reparking are provided to all donors who renew their Proud and True Fund gift at the same level as the previous year (note: exemptions are only valid during non-reparking years).
Your Proud and True Fund gift covers both Football & Basketball seasons.
Matching gifts to the Proud and True Fund may be available based on your company's policies. Please consult your HR department for more information related to matching gifts.
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) and Donor-Advised Funds (DAF) can now be used to support the Proud and True Fund.

DUKE CLUB FAQs

The Duke Club is the fundraising arm for James Madison University Athletics. Through its annual fund, the Duke Club raises unrestricted contributions in support of student-athlete scholarships and the athletic budget. Additionally, the Duke Club aids athletic facility enhancements and other needs through capital campaigns.
Restricted gifts are designated to a specific program, facility or project. Unrestricted gifts go directly toward the general athletic scholarship fund and help offset departmental expenses. Only unrestricted gifts secure Duke Club benefits.
All gifts to the Duke Club, excluding Duke Club Seat Contribution, are tax deductible. For more information regarding tax deductibility, please consult your tax advisor.
Companies that offer a matching gift program determine the specific criteria and policies by which they will match gifts. Please contact your human resources department for copies of these policies and the appropriate forms or contact the Duke Club for more information.

Donations to the “Proud and True” Fund and your Duke Club Seat Contribution provide support for JMU student-athlete scholarships and the general operating budget. A Duke Club Seat Contribution allows access to premium seats at Bridgeforth Stadium and Atlantic Union Bank Center. A Proud and True Fund gift unlocks gameday experience benefits, including parking and hospitality. Both funds help us with the annual student-athlete scholarship bill that continues to grows. Your gift gives a first-class education and premier athletic experience to young men and women during their time at James Madison University.
Duke Club membership benefits are determined by the unrestricted portion of a donation to JMU Athletics. The first-level of benefits in the Proud and True Fund begin at the Madison Level ($75 gift).
JMU Athletics reserves football and basketball game day parking for season ticket holders. Parking pass locations are determined by your Duke Club giving level and based upon availability.
Priority, Chairback and Club Level seats are our premium seating locations within Bridgeforth Stadium. These seats require varying Duke Club Seat Contributions along with the cost of the season ticket.
In order to provide fair and equitable seating, football and men's basketball season tickets are reassigned every four years based on Duke Club priority.

PROUD & TRUE FUND FAQs

The “Proud and True” Fund is the root of our mission at the Duke Club. Your gift supports our student-athlete scholarships and general operating budget. When you give to the “Proud and True” fund you are helping provide a first-class education and premier athletic experience. We have a growing need for support as the scholarship bill continues to rise and general costs go up. We believe that athletics is a great vehicle for students to become engaged global citizens who lead productive and meaningful lives in their communities. Your gift can make an impact on our student-athletes' lives for their four years on campus and for the rest of their lives. You will receive 100% tax deduction for all gifts to the “Proud and True” Fund.
Your full pledge to the “Proud and True” Fund must be in our system and half payment of your “Proud and True” Fund gift is due by May 15. The remaining balance is due on August 1 or a payment plan must be setup in order to participate in our annual reparking.

No. You only need to make your “Proud and True” fund gift once a year. You will be able to receive benefits for both football and basketball through this gift.
Ticket orders are limited to the following:
Priority Seats Order Limit = 12 tickets
Chairback Seats Order Limit = 10 tickets
Club Seats Order Limit = 8 tickets
Increasing your current year gift will increase your overall priority points, thus helping move up your rank and reseating/reparking appointment time.
JMU receives an allotment of tickets from each team for all away games. Tickets can be purchased directly from the JMU Athletic Ticket Office. You must order your away game tickets before the Duke Club away game priority deadline three weeks prior to the game. If orders exceed the allotment*, Duke Club priority points will determine the order of distributions. You must have given a current year “Proud and True” Fund gift in order to be considered in the Duke Club priority deadline for away game tickets. Once Duke Club orders have been filled, general public orders will be fulfilled. *Order limits and minimum “Proud and True” Fund gifts will apply for away games.
D-Lot, P-Lot, C9, Champions Deck, G-Lot, and F-Lot
No. Reserved parking passes listed in the “Proud and True” fund are only available to Duke Club members who have season tickets or single game tickets purchased from the JMU athletic ticket office. Single game parking pass access will be based on availability.
Single game parking for “Proud and True" fund donors will be based on parking availability.
“Proud and True” fund donors who have season tickets can only receive ONE parking pass per account.
No. Your “Proud and True” Fund gift makes you eligible for the lot corresponding to your giving level (as well as all lots for lower giving levels) and is based on availability. Spaces are awarded based on Priority Points and you will select your parking space based on available spaces during your reparking appointment time. Reparking appointments follow Duke Club Priority Point order.
For the first time in our program history, all spot-specific reserved lots were at capacity for the 2022 season. Parking & tailgating has continued to grow in popularity. We needed to increase the reserved lot footprint to keep providing benefits to our growing donor base. We hope you would consider making a $75 gift to support our student-athlete scholarships and general operating budget as we drive for 5,000 donors.
Yes. When your appointment time is active, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your seats if inventory is available. You will be required to pay the increased ticket cost and seat contribution at the time of upgrading.
